Here is a little update on what’s going on.

Let’s begin with Wal-Mart. Well, I didn’t get the job. They just didn’t call me.

OK, and well, recently me and my friend Skyler have been talking about setting up a computer business. We would build and repair computers and set up home networks. Can’t wait!

School is going good.. Just been tired and am really getting sick of it. But yeah, it’s going good. I actually need to do some homework now so yeah.

All for now.

Wal-mart Once Again

Okay, well, I called Wal-mart a week or so ago and it turns out I can’t work at the position they asked me if I wanted. So they said I might be able to go to the cart pushing job. Hopefully they will call this time.

Circuit City Trick

The basic idea of this trick is to get the online specials at the store so you don’t have to worry about going through the online check-out and waiting for it to be delivered.

This has been attempted twice and accomplished both times at a Circuit City in Champaign, Illinois. I will use my latest purchase as an example.

I went to Circuit City’s Web site and noticed the Battlefield 2 was on sale for $39.99. I also noticed that it said it was an online special only.

This was unfortunate because I did not want to deal with an online order and wait to play Battlefield 2. With this in mind, I decided to get it in store with this trick.

Firstly, you must print out the product you want to purchase so you can show the employee.

I played dumb and picked up Battlefield 2 and asked why online it said $39.99 and on the box it said $49.99. He noticed it was an online only special. I complained and said that I would have to wait a few days to play this game and it would be such a hassle.

He called a guy and asked if he could do I price match with the online price but he had to call someone else to verify. I overheard that if it has an online rebate that you most likely couldn’t’ do this (but I’m not sure if it will or will not work).

Once he got the “okay he rang it up at $39.99 and I got to take it home and play it without waiting for it to be delivered.

Try this out yourself and post in the comments if it works!

Well, Wal-Mart called today and now I have a third interview with them on tuesday. I’m going to be going into automotive as a cash register and stocking person. Looks like I should get the job because they asked me if I wanted it. Just going to finalize things with them and then sometime get the training I need and start working when they open which is somewhere in January. Can’t wait to start making some mullah! Oh, my brother also applied and now has a job to work at a cash register so hopefully it will be the same way with me.

Exercise Is Good

Me and my very good friend Sterling have been jogging on and off for the last year and now I think we are going to get more serious with it.  Last night at 7:30, Sterling came over and we jogged/walked for a little less than an hour and a half.  We then stretched and did some other exercises.  It felt good doing all that but one thing was when I woke up I was a little stiff so today we are going to stretch more in hope it will lessen the stiffness.

House Remodeling

Well, my dad has had some great ideas lately and he just had this idea of moving some of the furniture around and getting some new things. It sounds like a great idea and I’m going to take some before and after pictures once it gets finalized.

He said that we’re going to get an Xbox 360 so then we can take advantage of having a Media Center Edition (MCE) PC. The Xbox 360 allows us to use the MCE components on our TV because the Xbox 360 has a built in MCE Extender. We can pause live TV and record shows to watch later – all on our TV. This is definitely going to be one hell of a set-up for us.

Along with the Xbox 360, we would also get a new surround sound system. It will include, at least, a 5.1 speaker set-up and a receiver.

Since we are going to redo all this, I said we could move my Panasonic TV in the living room because it’s a much nicer TV and would be nice for the whole family to use and also with the Xbox 360. And he told me today that I could move the Panasonic 5.1 home theater system in my room which includes a CD/DVD player. Plus I can have the older GE television to replace the Panasonic one.

Hmm…

Got my hair cut today and I think it is a little too short but oh well. I’ve been thinking about my birthday which is coming up on the 17th. I guess it’s my “golden” birthday because I am turning 17 on the 17th. That’s pretty cool and I’ve been thinking about two things I want. This stereo system and these headphones. Yeah, not sure what I’m going to get but I can’t wait :-) .

Update on the DMV Situation

My dad just talked to the insurance guys and turns out you get 25% off of a student’s insurance if they have a 3.0 GPA. So now I need to raise that up a half of a point so I can get the discount.

We made a deal that if I have a 3.0 GPA at the end of the year he will take me in and I can get my license and insurance. I guess that works out because then I’ll have the entire summer to drive places.

Yeah, I’ll be working a lot more on my school work to make sure I get at least a B in every class.
